So possibly consequence but unlikely to be the root cause. I did take an hour or 2 to consider PCV failure but concluded forced induction air should not be there in the first place. Connected smoke machine to turbo intake and I see smoke bellowing from the Rocker cover PCV outlet. This pipe has a tee onto the rocker cover for PCV. Removed the intake pipe from air cleaner to turbo. At 3000rpm MAP reads near 1.7 bar and pushes my hand away. Blocked EGR 4.Removed the small intake pipe between the throttle plate & manifold blocked it with my hand. Verified MAP sensor with Mityvac & PID data. Here are the tests I have carried out so far. The current owner, a motor trader, has had 2 new turbochargers, EGR, MAF and some other bits fitted in an attempt to make at saleworthy. The Boost Pressure Data Pids confirm that too, it does struggle to get above atmospheric. The Fault code is P0299 and the lack of turbo boost is evident when driven. Might be a Grand Scenic 9HY DV6 Engine I am struggling with this slightly, lack of product knowledge and would like some help.
